Style and Submission Guidelines

Style guidelines and Submission Rules

Please follow carefully the following Style guidelines and Submission Rules.

The Editorial Team will not evaluate a paper until all these requirements are met.

Style guidelines

i. File format: PDF format submitted by email.

ii. Structure of Paper: it shall be composed of :
i. One Title Page.
ii. A Body of Text.
iii. Appendix.
iv. One “References” Section.
v. One Footnote section

iii. Title page: i. The first page of the paper should be a title page that includes the names of the authors, the title of the manuscript, an abstract of not more than 100 words (double-spaced), and five JEL Classification codes.
ii. The footnote identifying the author(s) etc. should be marked with an asterisk (next to iii. The main Corresponding author) and placed at the bottom of the title page.

iv. Body of text: i. General text:

  • All text must be double-spaced, 12-point font.
  • Indent the first line of all paragraphs
  • Avoid all caps for any text.
  • use the following fonts only: Arial, Courier, Times New Roman, Helvetica, and Symbol.

ii. The paper should follow the traditional structure:

  • Introduction: explain the contributions of the research.
  • Body: to develop the thesis of the manuscript
  • Conclusions: a brief nontechnical summary.
  • iii. Subsections Format:

    1. The final paragraph of the introduction should outline how the paper is organized.

      ii. Math/Variables

      • Mathematical proofs and detailed tables should be put in an appendix
      • Equations ought be reported on a separate line and centered.
      • Please number equations in the right margin in parentheses.

      iv.Appendix:
      i. Appendices should be lettered A, B, C, etc.
      ii. Lengthy mathematical proofs and very extensive detailed tables should be placed in an appendix or omitted entirely

      vii.References:
      i. References must be placed on a separate page at the end of the paper, unnumbered and double spaced.
      ii. All references mentioned in the text must be included in the list of references and vice versa.
      iii. First names of all authors must be included.
      iv. Examples:

      • b. Books:

      viii. Footnotes:
      • Footnotes must be placed at the end of the paper and double-spaced.
      • The number of footnotes must not exceed the number of pages within the article.

      ix. Length:
      i. Original papers: the manuscript must not exceed 60 pages in length (with at least double line spacing, 12-point font, 1-inch side margins, and 1.5-inch top/bottom margins), including appendices, figures, tables, footnotes and references. ii. Book reviews should not exceed 1000 words.

      Submission Rules

      1) A submitted manuscript must be unpublished (including online)
      2) The manuscript should not be submitted for publication to other journals, online publications or as a chapter of a book until an editorial decision is made by the Journal of New Finance.
      3) Protection of intellectual property:
      a) A Copyright. The publication of the manuscript in the Journal of New Finance is conditional the transfer from the authors to the Journal of all publishing rights, in any media and using any technologies. The above applies also to enhancements, modifications, and derivations of the paper. The authors maintain the copyright to the paper.
      b) Third party rights:
      i. the authors are the sole responsible the for the publication of information protected by third party rights, including any data, formula, text, image, graphic, photograph, unless they have obtained and explicit permission from the third party. A copy of such permission must be included in the submission.
      ii. the authors are responsible for the violation of any copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property
